I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also broken them in well that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

How does the sizing run?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me.

Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they reduce sweat. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
